  • Emilia Mårtensson and Matt Robinson aim to redefine the traditional piano/vocal duo by incorporating extended techniques, improvisation, and live electronics and synths. Their highly anticipated debut album as a duo is slated for a 2025 release, featuring a compilation of songs that traverse open landscapes and intricate arrangements within art.pop, traditional jazz, Swedish folk songs, and original compositions. Each song creates a unique atmosphere, allowing listeners to briefly explore the interplay between ancient folk tales and contemporary reflections.

Matt Robinson, an established pianist and composer in the UK jazz scene, is celebrated for his melodic improvisations, harmonically nuanced playing, and innovative use of live electronics. His collaborations with various original music projects, including Snowpoet, The Magic Lantern, Flying Machines, and Josienne Clarke, attest to his versatility and creativity.

Swedish native Emilia Mårtensson has garnered acclaim as one of the most exciting vocalists on the UK jazz scene. Her haunting and ethereal tones, infused with her Swedish heritage, captivate audiences with their dark melancholy and compelling storytelling. Her accolades include being featured in ‘The New Face of British Jazz’ by The Observer and winning ‘Best Vocalist’ at The Parliamentary Jazz Awards in 2016.

The duo will be accompanied by their highly acclaimed rhythm section, featuring Will Glaser on drums and Max Luthert on bass and special guest Adam Waldmann on Saxophone.
