The evergreen, glorious, multi award winning singer that is Elaine Delmar, returns to Crazy Coqs to perform again, in this our 2025 Jazz Divas series, the songs and music of two of America’s greatest song writers of the 20th Century – Jerome Kern and Cole Porter.

Her concerts., featuring the Great American Song book, have delighted audiences across small intimate jazz clubs and the largest concert halls, singing with both solo piano right through to amazing big bands. Her rare ability to evoke deep emotions across such a wide range of experiences mark her as unique
Her vocal range remains extraordinary as she can embrace, with equal conviction, both quiet whispered tones along with virulent almost strident sounds, when the music demands . Her most recent album “Speak Low” has enjoyed considerable success and high critical aclaim.
Jerome Kern, who composed over 700 songs between 1902 and his passing in 1945, was voted by Congress as “The Father of American Musical Theatre”. Undoubtedly a musical giant among several greats, his legacy of wonderful music includes: “A Fine Romance”, “All The Things You Are”, “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man”, “I Wont Dance”, “I’m Old Fashioned”, “Pick Yourself Up”, “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”, “The Touch Of Your Hand”.
Cole Porter, known throughout the music world as the greatest writer of witty and urbane songs, across many busy years until his passing in 1964, wrote music that inspired many successful Broadway shows and memorable Hollywood films. Among his most successful and long lasting compositions are: “Anything Goes”, “Begin The Beguine”, ”I Get A Kick Out Of You”, “Just One Of Those Things”, “Love For Sale”, “Night And Day”, “You Do Something To Me” and “You’re The Tops”.
Elaine Delmar will delight, engage, entertain and also surprise our Crazy Coqs audience with her delightful and masterful performance of the wonderful songs of Jerome Kern and Cole Porter.
