  • Graciela Rodriguez has now burst onto the U.K. Latin Jazz scene, as a dynamic solo artist.

Following several years of outstanding musicianship, performing as lead singer with established Latin groups, including the sensational Roberto Pla – the Godfather of Salsa – and his Cuban Jazz ensemble, at London’s Dean Street and Holborn venues, Graciela arrives for her debut concert at Crazy Coqs, supported by a Latin quartet of compelling rhythmic intensity.

Tonight at Crazy Coqs Graciela presents a Latin flavoured mixture of well known and new songs, all performed with her magical compelling style, guaranteed to get audiences’ toes tapping, hips swaying and hands clapping.

Graciela’s supporting Latin inspired quartet are Fernando Depestre – keyboards, Dominic Grant – Guitar, Ariel Cubria – bass and Xande Oliveira – Percussion.

Singer-songwriter Graciela, originally from Galicia in Spain, has lived for 18 years in the UK. In early stages of her career she completed studies in classical, jazz singing and musical education, performing classical, jazz, pop, Latin, Spanish pop and electronic music in Spain and Puerto Rico.

She has performed on prestigious stages and TV stations such as Glastonbury and BBC TV’s “Children in Need”. Not to mention touring across Europe with Björk and working alongside Ricky Martin and Shakira. Graciela has nurtured her talent in many groups, including the funksters J-Sonics, at Claire Martin’s South Coast Jazz Festival, and with sold-out concerts at the London Latin Jazz Festival and the Love Supreme Festival.

Her styles are diverse and eclectic. Her previous album was an intimate-acoustic tale of personal experiences, and her latest is an 80s rock-pop blast of energy.
