  • Bea Asurmendi is a London-based artist originally from the Basque Country. She has collaborated with the likes of Norma Winstone, New York Voices and international film composer Fernando Velázquez.

Tonight she is presenting a powerful and evocative collection of original compositions (in Basque, Spanish and English) where world music, contemporary jazz and folk meet. Bea’s unmistakably personal voice unveils a unique, moving and fearless expression of vulnerability over a soundscape that invites the listener to reflect upon sorrow, forgiveness, family, death, self-love and the importance of mental health awareness. Through her lyrics, Bea also intends for her songs to be an invitation to the listener to venture out of their own assumptions and reflect upon the meaning of being a woman in our society and the importance of women’s empowerment.

Bea will be joined by Gianluca Corona (guitar), Giovanni Cresseri (bass), Milena Granci (piano) and Filippo Galli (drums).
