Bev Lee Harling ….and The Kitchen Sink

Having won the hearts and musical minds of DJs across the board with her debut LP, Barefoot In Your Kitchen, which BBC 6Music’s Gilles Peterson made his Album of the Week, Bev will be bringing her own brand of quirky magic to Crazy Coqs this year along with Frank Moon and Tom Clarkson.

Bev mixes up elements of folk, classical and jazz, highlighted in her latest album release in 2022 ‘Little Anchor’ influenced by growing up in Hastings during the 80’s.

Her music sometimes dark, sometimes frivolous, always engaging and human spirited, the songs’ common bond being the luscious, pure vocals that thread their way through the highs and lows of life experience.

Using her violin, ukulele style and some random found objects and kitchen equipment, she accompanies herself, creating intimate stories involving dirty dragonflies and men hiding under the bed.

This is an interactive show, so be prepared for wok duets and cheese grater virtuoso moments.
