In her concert, Brazilian music specialist from London, Charlotte Algar presents songs from her new album, original compositions and pieces for solo guitar – often inviting special local guests from the Brazilian music scene.

Born in London in 1995, Charlotte Algar is a singer and classical guitarist in love with Brazilian music. In 2020 she moved to Lisbon, and embarked on a journey that let her to quickly perform at prestigious Brazilian venues, such as Casa do Choro (Rio de Janeiro), Bona Casa de Música (São Paulo) and other notable locales in Portugal and the UK.

2024 saw the release of her first album ‘Tejo’, and her move to Brazil. Her album is a homage to the great Brazilian composers, such as Egberto Gismonti, Baden Powell, Guinga, Caetano Veloso and Djavan. Primarily a work of voice and guitar, she demonstrates her virtuosity as a guitarist with complex accompaniments supporting visceral, emotionally charged vocal interpretations.
