Elise Fabris – A Girl You Should Know

Elise Fabris isn’t a name you know… yet. But in her debut cabaret, A Girl You Should Know, she’s setting out to change this. Elise has dreamt of performing in the West End since she was a little girl in Australia. Then life got in the way. Or perhaps she got in her own way.

Punctuated by her favourite show tunes, she revisits her school days as the teacher’s pet in Sydney, falls in love with a mind reader, unexpectedly falls pregnant just as her career might have begun, and faces her fear of being a high achiever who never achieves anything.

Accompanied by the wonderful Wyn Hyland on the piano, Elise presents her story. It’s about grief, auditioning, and breastfeeding. It’s about losing yourself just a little bit and tap-dancing your way back to who you’ve always wanted to be.
