  • Steve Somers is an award winning singer/songwriter who started in the London Folk Clubs of the 60’s. In 1975 he won a national TV talent show called ‘New Faces’, after which he was asked to join British hit making pop/folk group ‘The Settlers’, touring the world and appearing on National and international TV, radio and records.

    For many years Steve had his own show on BBC Radio. Steve played for, toured with and appeared on TV with Skiffle Legend Lonnie Donegan, Cockney chart topper Joe Brown, American Legend Johnny Tillotson, British pop legend Lulu, Don Everly of the Everly Brothers, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Billy Jo Spears whilst still performing and broadcasting with his own group, or his son Ben in the Steve & Ben Somers band who are Channel 4 TV favourites

    Having spent many nights playing with the King of Skiffle, Steve, along with his band, bring back the songs (‘My old man’s a Dustman’, ‘Does your chewing gum loose its flavour on the bedpost overnight’) that got a nation tapping its feet!
