  • Rouhangeze aka Ruh is a truly remarkable talent, hailing from the beautiful and vibrant island of Mauritius, now settled in London, UK. Her music is a reflection of her rich cultural heritage and deep connection to her roots.

“Rouhangeze’s music is genre “non-binary”! It’s soulful, lyrical, spiritual, other worldly and connects with one on a visceral level that is hard to describe. Her voice comes from the depths of our world and soars above it like a beautiful bird. When you listen, you have to surrender. “ – Elliot Moss (Jazz Shapers, Jazz FM)

She is a vocalist, songwriter, music producer, radio presenter of ‘Jazz Odyssey’ at Jazz FM, vocal therapist and cultural ambassador renowned for bridging musical diversity. Raised immersed in Mauritius’ rich rhythmic tapestry, she relocated to London in 2009 to pursue creative passions. There she rapidly rose, collaborating with luminaries across various genres, including Linley Marthe and Antonio Forcione. Having cultivated versatility across genres from jazz to soul, Rouhangeze “fuses the rhythms of her homeland with London’s kaleidoscopic energy,” melding cultural exchange with empowerment. Through lyrical gifts spanning musical boundaries, she brings the world closer in melody and message.

She’ll be accompanied by multi instrumentalist, Ivor Novello award winning producer, Eric Appapoulay on guitar to present her upcoming album ‘ Evasio’, a fusion where she explores the traditional rhythms of the Sega, which she sings in her mother tongue, Mauritian Creole, her compositions bask in the colours of Africa and India and are influenced by her love of Jazz and the marriage between electronic and organic sounds.

Rouhangeze will also be joined by Adriano Adewale, the Brazilian percussionist and composer, renowned for his innovative approach to music. He uses a diverse array of global percussion instruments and vocal percussion, creating enchanting soundscapes that captivate audiences worldwide. His heartfelt and thoughtful drumming, combined with a masterful delivery, leaves a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to experience his extraordinary talent.
