Hailing from New Orleans, The Boswell Sisters were composers, arrangers and performers whose complex harmonies, scat rhythms and dizzying tempo changes dazzled the audiences of their time.

The Shout Sisters are a London-based international three-part vocal harmony group who, along with their band made up of London’s most eminent jazz musicians, are dedicated to reviving and showcasing this brilliant music. Expect to hear songs such as “It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing”, “Sit Right Down & Write Myself A Letter”, “Lullaby of Broadway”, “Cheek To Cheek”, “St Louis Blues”, and many more!

Named after The Boswell Sisters theme tune “Shout Sister, Shout”, the Shout Sisters consist of Louise Messenger (Australia), Noelle Davies-Brock (UK), and Elise Roth (USA). They’ve had the pleasure of performing for dancers and concert audiences alike in London and around the UK, including the Twinwood Festival, Uptown Swing’s Nighthawks events, and Pizza Express Live. For tonight’s concert, The Shout Sisters will be accompanied by Laurence Corns on guitar, Ben Hazelton on double bass, & Michael McQuaid on reeds.
