Stella Angelika: Jazz and I

Stella Angelika is excited to present an intimate evening of Jazz. From way back when to the present day, Stella will perform her favourite Jazz songs, sharing what they mean to her and how they’ve shaped her as an artist.

Expect to hear well loved classics from Frank Sinatra to Ella Fitzgerald, as well as some of Stella’s original music, all arranged for this special one off show.

Stella will be accompanied by The London Jazz Band a group of musicians who have played together and alongside Stella for years, building an undeniable musical chemistry. This group of musicians share Stella’s capacity to feel at home in different musical styles, and members of the group have performed with a wide range of artists including Madeleine Peyroux and Lauryn Hill.

Stella is a one of a kind vocalist – singing RnB and Gospel from a young age, she went on to earn a scholarship to train in Opera and Classical music at 19, and over the last few years has been immersing herself in the London Jazz scene as well as writing and recording her own music. She brings a uniquely soulful approach to the Jazz repertoire, and approaches Soul and RnB in a way that blends authentically within the Jazz style, her passion and connection to the music is clear and her presence on stage is captivating.
