Wilma Baan: Waves & Windmills

The North Sea is a powerful symbol, both separating and connecting Britain and the Netherlands. As a Dutch national living in Britain, I am delighted to be a member of the Anglo-Netherlands Society, an organization dedicated to promoting cultural and social ties between our two nations. 

I look forward to celebrating my love for both countries by offering an evening of wonderful jazz standards as well as some timeless Dutch pearls.

The show title “Waves & Windmills” captures the essence of Anglo-Dutch influences. It suggests a sense of movement and fluidity (waves) along with cultural heritage and timeless charm (windmills), and, of course, music!
